Pelješac peninsula is an exceptionally beautiful place, with tiny villages and sheltered coves rimmed by beaches, and although it’s an increasingly popular holiday area, development remains low – key. Pelješac is also one of Croatia’s most prolific wine producing regions, celebrated for the earthy dry reds derived from the indigenous Plavac Mali grape. The villages of Postup ( 4 km east of Orebić ) and Dingač ( 16 km east ) stand at the center of the best-known vineyards, and wines bearing the Dingač label are highly rated by connoisseurs.

1. VINARIJA VICELIĆ 

Winery Vicelić is one small,  but very high-quality wine producers on the peninsula. The wine cellar is located in Kuna Peljesac. Their wines, Dingač and Plavac Vicelić, are full-bodied and breathe red berries and spicy notes of oak, complemented by hard and mature tannins. Exported even to England where they are selling in London in prestigious Berry Bros. & Rudd.

3. VINARIJA MATUŠKO

Winery Matuško is one of the most beautiful wineries on the peninsula, with a beautiful room for tasting. Hidden from views, it is located near the famous tunnel Dingač. The tunnel leads from Potomja through the hill, and it was named after the hill Dingač whose most attractive position is of course on the south side of the peninsula.

5. GRGIĆ VINA
