Where to eat the best Sandwich in Split?
Rizzo opened its doors in 1992, as a first sandwich bar and now has four locations in Split. They have an excellent homemade bread, and we know the secret of a good sandwich is in a good bread. You can choose between a variety of subway style sandwiches and bruschettas – prosciutto, fish, mushroom and vegetarian. Rizzo has sandwiches of two sizes: big, and small. Prices vary from 12 to 20 kn depending on stuffing. You can also choose extra ingredients for an additional 2 kn per ingredient. They also have delivery of cocktail -sandwiches, packed in decorative baskets.
Pikanterije is a food bar which offers traditional Croatian sandwiches with natural ingredients mostly of Croatian origin which do not contain any flavor enhancer or artificial color. All sandwich ingredients are homemade and fresh. Their sandwiches have interesting names, each of them telling a different story: Diocletian, tartufata, summer, pikanterija, gušt, adriatic, piccolo, vegan, plac. Prices are ca. 40 kunas.
This local eatery recently opened and already took our attention with their unusual offer of – falafel. The process of ordering includes: choosing falafel green, shrimp, beef, your spread – hummus or yogurt, your dressing – tahini, red tahini, tahini yogurt, schug, amba yogurt. Prices are around 60 kunas.
In this street food factory, there are no common hot rolls, hot dogs, or unsteady hamburgers or hot sandwiches. Here you can order a sandwich, but there will be, for example, with a grilled oatmeal and roast beef, beef tail, or with the famous meal in this region – stuffed peppers. There is a homemade tomato sauce with pasta simply called the dough “on the wet”, but there is also a “sauce” with beef. And, this is the only place where you can order pašticada served in a sandwich! Prices are around 70 kn.
