BEST VEGAN PLACES IN SPLIT

Dalmatia is well known for its amazing food and Split is no exception. Though traditional meals are amazing when done right, until relatively recently, Split didn’t have many offerings beyond them. However, in recent years all of that changed, and now Split has a blooming food scene. And as these things go, more and more vegan and vegetarian options are being added as well, and some specialized places are being opened as well. Here’s a list of the best vegan places Split.

  1. DADDY COOL
Daddy Cool is a newly opened falafel place in Split, right in the city center. Kralja Tomislava street now houses this amazing little gem that has quickly become a hit among the locals. And now, during high tourist season, it’s a hit among tourists as well. Their Vegan Falafel is simply to die for! And their hummus has become somewhat a hit amongst The Guide Split crew.

  2. Ma:Toni
Ma:Toni is one of the first restaurants in Split that catered to vegans, and to this day remains one of the best. On their menu they make sure to always have at least one vegan option. In addition, most of their meals are gluten-free as well. Ma:Toni makes sure to have a revolving menu, one that depends on the season. So even though they might not have what you like in their day-to-day standard menu, they may surprise you with their additions. Since it’s near Bacvice beach, it’s the perfect spot for a bite and a swim!

  4. KAT´S KITCHEN DELI
Antuna Mihanovića street houses this amazing Flexitarian, Vegan, Vegetarian &  Paleo spot. This will probably be the healthiest place you’ll visit in Split. It’s probably the first deli of its kind in Split, if not in Croatia. Whatever your needs and desires may be, we’re pretty sure they’ll be filled out in Kat’s Kitchen Deli.https://www.instagram.com/p/Bi7ZHWgFv7K/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link
  5. MARTA´S VEGGIE FUSION
Marta’s Veggie Fusion has been around for a while now, and it shows. They pride themselves on a  menu that is solely a vegan/vegetarian fusion. And at this point, their beet burger is almost legendary amongst it’s patrons.  You’ll find Marta’s in the very city center, just look for Krešimirova street. P.S., if you’re a fan of spicy  food, you simply MUST try their spicy sauceshttps://www.instagram.com/p/Bg3W3GDDhrF/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link
  6. ZERU CAFE & BISTRO
Another spot located in the very city center of Split, Zeru is the big surprise of the summer. Opened very recently in Matošića street they offer oat cups, biscuits, muffins, etc with great coffee.  They also serve cold brew from D16, which we already wrote about. And if you’re looking to grab a quiche, Zeru is the place to go.https://www.instagram.com/p/BmAZlbDFb0I/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link
  7. ROOTS COFFEE & CUISINE
Though it’s located a bit out of the very city center – though everything in Split is close by to be fair- this place is not to be missed. This family-run operation is behind the #FollowTheRabbit campaign you might have seen around Split. In Meštrovićeva street you’ll find both vegan and vegetarian meals, in a great setting. Not only doe the food look great, but they blend traditional dalmatian tastes so well with some experimentation thrown in.https://www.instagram.com/p/BlVUQnxnSaz/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link
  8. TOTO’S BURGER BAR
Toto’s is a well-known burger spot in Split, right down on the promenade. Despite being famous in Split for its burgers it also has some vegan-friendly meals. You’re sure to find vegan pasta options there. And as they have veggie burgers, we have a feeling vegan burgers won’t be too far behind.
