One of the many restaurants in the Split city center that is worth visiting. Though it is not located in the Diocletian Palace, but a few hundred meters from it, it is still very accessible. Though the restaurant is new (opened in the 2016/2017 season), it has already made a name for itself. And keep in mind that it is not easy to do so in the Split culinary scene. Split has had an amazing boom in (mostly) good restaurants in the recent years, and it is not easy to get the word out about new restaurants. The best way to do it is, of course, by having amazing food. Which Articok restaurant has in spades!
Though the food is truly amazing, it isn’t the only thing worth seeing at this place. The owner of Articok restaurant is an interior designer by trade, even though he has been in the restaurant business for quite while. So he just mixed his love of art, design and food to make Articok. Though self admittedly not a brilliant chef, he says the most important thing is that he truly enjoys food. And he understands that the packaging is almost as important as the taste of the food itself.
Because of the unique ‘upbringing’ of the restaurant, the food looks as amazing as it tastes. Whether it is simply tapas with amazing wine, or more complex meals, it both looks and tastes amazing. And you simply must try anything that has lavender and chocolate in it!
