Restaurant Kadena boasts fabulous views over Zenta Marina towards the distant islands. The tasting menus offer several courses from 270kn to 320kn. The wine list requires a huge cellar. Various bruschette and creative desserts add to a classic Dalmatian menu already given an extra dimension by the imaginative introduction of additional ingredients and sauces.

It is not often you can combine a delightful view with excellent food. Kadena hits all the senses in the best possible way.
Furthermore, the talent of the chef is combined with those of the sommelier who really knows his stuff.
This is not a place for back packers but if you want to savour your food, wine and the view in an elegant setting  Kadena is the spot!

This is very serios restaurant with great food (fish and meat options are both excellent) and Respect Wine list. Service is very Well trained and interior is very nice designed. This is top 5 restaurant in Split for sure.

Make sure to make it to the restaurant before sunset, because the view from the terrace is unbelievable. While enjoying a drink, choose your dinner from a selection of fish and seafood. The waiter is professional and quickly senses the tone of the group. The fish and clams are all prepared as simple as possible.

  1. “KADENA restaurant is one of innovative gastro leader not only in Split, but Croatia!!”

    I have heard for this restaurant for years, due to the its couisine chief Braco Sanjin, but I have never been. On the way to island Hvar, I had 2,5 hours of free time in Split, and by phone, decided to visit, as they promised me, to drive back from Kadena lunch to the ferry in Split harbor! View from terrace was one of best in Split, together with ACI Grašo restaurant. Island Brač is on your hand! First starter was red risotto with Saint Jacques shells! Excellent shells, and my first eating of red rice!! Very healthy and expensive rice, but little bit boring, after you eaten 6-7 forks?! Next was similar, durum wheat, or non-glazed wheat with smoked sea products!! Again, first time ever, I eat this, also, very healthy wheat but this perform better, or much better then starter before?! Anyhow, after those 2 starters, you have not eaten many calories, you eat something very healthy, and you feel very good. For the end, I tried half portion of Braco, say, famous french classic!! Huge prawn from delta Neretve, on duck liver, on marinated green apple green smith, with sauce of cointreau,cognac,orange, with , with.. see photo!! Fantastic. The best French meal, I have ever tasted. At the end, as I was in rush, but they promised to return me back to Split harbor, I tried dessert with red pepper, vanilla, but this was the smallest dessert I have even tried?! I do not know, was it because of my rush,, or as I did not concentrate, or. Anyhow, due to Braco chief, main sommelier Damir, nice terrace view, I considered KADENA as the one of top 10 best Croatian restaurants!!

    This restaurant is one of the best in this area of Split. Exellent menu, nice winelist and very good service by nice staff. The restuarant is overlooking the sea and has a relaxing atmosphere. I can strongly recommend it.

  3. Beware

    Beware of the fish of the day. I was encouraged to order the fresh monkfish rather than the monkfish off the menu. What I got was delicious,but enough for 3-4 people with a corresponding price! Be sure to specify portion size. I should have sent it back.
