KRKA WATERFALLS & WINE TASTING
Krka Waterfalls is year by year the most visited park in Croatia, and with good reason. It is probably the most visited and impressive must-see location in Dalmatia. The unique Krka Park really is a small natural paradise which will leave you both breathless, and giddy with excitement. As it really is popular, you’ll find quite a few tours in Split that do this tour. Here we’ll give you an overview of things to miss when looking for this tour, and what to look for.
First things first, a lot of agencies offer just transfers. You’ll see incredibly low prices all over the city, and that is because you’re only paying for the transfer (usually in a big buses with +35 people). Always look for whats included in the price. Just the park tickets are around 200 kuna or 26€ per person. So even when you think you’re saving, you’ll have to pay more later. The other important thing is when the tours go and with what. The best time to visit Krka Waterfalls is early morning, as there are fewer people there at the time. There are several options regarding transfer as well; cars, vans, minibusses and large buses. If you want the pay a bit less, we suggest going on tours that go with buses. If you’d like more private sort of thing, go with vans. On those tours there is a maximum of 8 people.
If you’d like authentic tours or small group tours, we recommend going on a tour with wine tasting. There are a few agencies in Split that do them, and Croatia Dream does them as well. That tour is with a small group, and in addition to the wine tasting, visits Šibenik as well. It includes a guide, transfers with a brand new van, entry tickets, wine tasting, and refreshments. Check out the TripAdvisor for this tour, just to give you a bit of a better overview.
